ANDILLY-EN-BASSIGNY
Gallo-roman Villa
The gallo-roman villa of Andilly-en-Bassigny was, in the first two centuries A.D., the centre of an extensive agricultural estate. Informing us as to the daily lives of rulers, servants and craftsmen archaeological digs have yielded relics and of remarkable proportions, most notably the thermal baths.

FAVEROLLES
Gallo-Roman mausoleum
The remains of this great mausoleum were discovered in 1980. At the beginning of the empire (first half of the 1st century), a highranking member of the Lingones people was wealthy enough to have a sumptuous tomb built at the edge of his country estate, using a great wealth of funerary themes in its decoration. It was constructed in a dominant position adjoining the Roman road from Langres to the Blaise valley, which connected with the Langres-Reims route.

FONTAINES-SUR-MARNE
Menhir of la Haute-Borne
When it was erected approximately 4000 years ago, this menhir reached almost 7 metres high. The megalith was restored in 1845.

NOGENT
"La Pierre Alot" (The Water Stone)
This dolmen is to be found in the Lardigny forest, close to an ancient Roman road. There are a number of explanations for the hollow face of the stone : is it natural, or was it man-made, designed to receive religions offering, or is that it perhaps marks the tomb of a great warrior.
