Lac de la Liez
The lake Liez (290 ha) is the only lake that can be seen from the ramparts in Langres. The dam, which is 460 m wide and 16 m high, was completed in 1888. The local water sport centre has numerous facilities and many recreational pastimes to choose from – supervised swimming, pedalos, fishing…. You can also walk or cycle along the 16 km path around the lake.

Lac de Charmes
The lake Charmes (197 ha) is protected by a dyke that is 362 metres long and 17 metres high; the dyke itself was completed in 1906. The lake is a favourite spot of anglers, though swimming and boating are also possible.

Lac de la Vingeanne (lac de Villegusien)
When water levels are high, the lake of "La Vingeanne" covers some 199 ha. The dyke, built in 1906, is the longest of all the four lakes. Bird enthusiasts enjoy watching the many local and migrating birds from the observation post or along the paths (with information boards). The recreation centre and the beach are also great for families.

Lac de la Mouche (lac de Saint-Ciergues)
The dam wall, built between 1881 and 1890, along the lake of "La Mouche" is 410 metres long and constructed like a viaduct. The 7 km long path around the lake (94 ha) is ideal for a relaxing walk, a cycle ride or a bracing ride on horse back. The silhouettes of the villages of St-Ciergues and Perrancey and the local hillside forests are clearly reflected on the sparkling surface of the lake.
